Why Travel When Your Friends Do: A Story of Snapchat

How great is it to end the day–maybe a long and exhausting one. Maybe with a nice cold beer. Maybe while watching endless hours of your recorded The Voice episodes and eating chocolate–no? Just me? You settle in to some Cadbury Eggs and tune in to Blake Shelton and Adam Levine yelling things at each other to an audience’s laughter and you open your Snapchat to 165 seconds of pictures and videos from on of your dear, dear friends. WHAT THE EFFFF. I’m looking at you, Anastasia.

(You were scared of all my screenshots. And I told you that you should be.)

Our beloved Anastasia is with (also loved) Mandy and they are taking over Russia with now Russian Rachel (again, also loved)–and they are all documenting it VERY WELL. I get aprox. 8127348134 snaps a day–and no complaints! Mainly because I did the same snapping when I was in Vegas (and TBH Russia is far cooler to check out via snap than my drunken nonsense.) Example:

(Times about 100)

If you get me, it’s great–hilarious even. But, yeah, a little much, sure. And I want to be clear: MANDY, STASIA, RACHEL: I love your snaps.

But yeah, this is what happens when your friends go on vacay in the 21st century.

You see everything they eat.

You get (or absolutely do NOT get) their cultural references.

You see every alcohol they ingest.

They narrate things in video (sry can’t screenshot video yet, where you at Tim Cook??).

You shop with them.

And, occasionally, you fear for their safety.

GET HOME SAFE GUYS. And, if not, at least snap your kidnapping. #siberiaforspringbreak
