Winter Fashion Wish List

So end of year bonuses are happening and in addition to treating myself to a fancypants dinner in Houston, I think a bit of a refresher for my winter wardrobe is in store. Wondering what’s on my holiday wish list? *cough* mom *cough* Check out the 10 items below that I’m super into! I dig anything that has the potential for layering (to prepare for the fickle Houston weather) and I’m all about being cozy and warm without breaking the bank.

Excursion Quilted Down Vest by J. Crew

Look haute and be warm in quilted neutrals. Vests are just the best–because lesbehonest sleeves are overrated. Luckily J. Crew is well stocked in all the basics and is more than prepared to you cute and warm! Find it here.

Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick by Yves Saint Laurent

Nothing says happy holidays quite like a bright red pout. Since I’ve been racking up all my Bing reward points by doing simple searches and cashing them in for Sephora giftcards, soon enough I’ll be sporting this Rouge Rock for free. Get your lip gloss popping and find it here.

Wool Cashmere Throw by COS

I’m all about saving money and energy and pretending that it’s winter. I like my inside house temperature to mirror the outside temperature (much to my roommates dismay). But now that it’s a bit chillier on the outside and the inside, it gives me the perfect excuse to curl up and snuggle on the couch for a movie or the DWTS reruns. The perfect accessory? Cashmere for sure. Snuggle in and find it here.

Blake Vest by Andrew Mac

This vest has personality. It’s got a bit of sparkle and is perfect for staying warm and layering in the Houston “winter.” It can be layered over a jacket or a simple sweater. Plus the price (it’s on sale!) makes it totally worth it. Be #fauxreal and find it here.

Italian Wool-Blend Scarf in Classic Plaid by J. Crew

It’s funny. In middle school when I was forced to wear a plaid skirt all day erry day I hated anything and everything that had to do with plaid. Now I just can’t get enough of it. And tbh if you’re not wrapping yourself up in a big fluffy plaid wool scarf are you really even wintering these days? Answer no. Winter up and find it here.

Greville Scarf by Kit and Ace

Simplicity at its finest. Borderline necklace. An infinity scarf that you don’t have to loop. Made of cashmere. Known to make dreams come true (aka upgrade your sweater into a turtleneck). Start the conversations and find it here.

Felix Leather Jacket by Andrew Marc

I’ve been looking for a good leather jacket that can be either dressed up or dressed down. I love this one’s asymmetrical shape and think it would pair perfectly with knit dresses and big scarves. Channel your inner rocker and find it here.

I’m all about subtle statement earrings. And pretty obsessed with this copper color! Perfect to change up the typical gold and silver routine. Break the mold and find it here.

California Moonrise Navajo Cape by Lily Rain

If the name of this cozy af cape didn’t sell you, the fact that you can get it from a local Houston boutique should! I wish I had this while tailgating at the UH football game and doing happy hour on the outdoor patio at La Grange. Find this and other unique (and affordable!) finds in the Rice Village location. Because sunrises are overrated, find it here.

State of Mind Texas Necklace by Dogeared

If you must know, I already have this necklace and wear it basically every day. I’ve added this to the list not because I want this but in case you don’t have one! This necklace is the perfect gift for you and all your besties. Keep Texas close to you hear and find it here.
