5 Houston Designers We Love

We love Houston. And y’all we’re obsessed with all the fantastic designers and entrepreneurial talent coming out of our hometown. If you’re like us and always looking for opportunities to shop local look no further. Here are some of our favorite Houston-based designers who’s crafts and clothes are amazing and beautiful!

Genie Mack

They’re made with 100% cotton and come in every color imaginable. She stocks them at a few stores around town (follow her on Instagram to keep up!) and you can check out her Etsy store to see the many colors and multiple designs. Plus, if pets are your thing–she has a flourishing pets portrait business as well! Check out her website to learn more!

Natasha Dadwani

Burdlife Houston Jewelry DesignerNatasha is the brains (and the beauty) behind Burdlife. You can find her at all sorts of popups and flea markets selling her beautiful stone jewelry. We’re big fans of her stone tassel earrings–they’re much lighter and easier to wear than they seem! Plus, we loved playing with some of the items in her collections at the photograph workshop we hosted in March. Her pieces are filled with bright stones, quartz, and delicate pressed metal.

Brenda Grands

Her jewelry collection is full of delicate, geometric and metallic shapes. This Colombian designer works to incorporate nature and art into all of her pieces. The majority of her items can be found on her website, but if you’re obsessed with Texas as much as we are, then you definitely want to check out the opal Texas necklace in her Etsy store!

Elaine Turner

She has multiple established stores around town and a fantastic collection of purses, jewelry, clothes and shoes. Her chambray” Samara” frock, cobalt Liann crossbody purse, and the Zia heels are staples in my summer closet this year. She regularly hosts events at her stores and collaborates with other designers. In addition to continually reinventing herself and her collections, she’s also grounded as the leader of her company and deeply involved in philanthropy work.

Heather Ashley Wobbe

heather wobbe houston designerHeather is the face behind Modern Artifacts. We met her at Flea Style a few months back and fell in love with her bright personality (although she probably doesn’t remember us). We’re definitely crushing on her contemporary take on incorporating stones and metals into jewelry. It’s hard not to fall in love with the delicate triangle drop earrings and gold cuffs. No one is surprised that her two-tone Texan necklace is one of her best-sellers. You can shop her styles online or catch her at one of the upcoming craft fairs in Houston–she does a good job of keeping her events page up-to-date.

  1. Tassel earrings are also my favorite! I’ve been seeing statement pieces becoming more prominent in trending styles; tassel earrings are no exception. They make beautiful additions to any summertime outfit for a bit of flare.

  3. I’ve got to pick up some Tassel earrings the next time I’m in Houston. Thanks for listing your favorite designers. I love to see women entrepreneurs doing great things for the community. I will support anyway I can!
