God Bless Texas and all the glories that come with a good sportsball game. In case you live under a rock, Houston has some of the best sports teams in Texas and the experience to see them play live is like no other…especially when you’re talking about the 2017 World Series Champs Astros! Whether or not you were on the emotional rollercoaster that was a seven game series of excitement, as a resident or visitor to Houston a trip to Minute Maid Park should definitely be in your priorities.

Obviously, you’re there for the beer, food love of the sport, but in case you need a break from the action (or just arrive ridiculously early to the game), here’s some things to watch out for in Minute Maid Park that make Astros game so unique!

10 Things You Can’t Miss at an Astros Game in Minute Maid Park

1. St. Arnold’s Beer. Are we in a baseball stadium or in Houston’s oldest brewery? The amount of craft beer on tap tells me one thing, but the price for a glass of it says another. If you’re going to spend $11 on a stadium beer, you might as well support local. Disclaimer, the St. Arnold don’t come in cans so if you’re a koozie totin’ Texas (as you should be!!), your beer might warm quicker than expected in the Houston heat.
2. Torchy’s. For real, I’ve been attending Astros games since elementary school but all of a sudden the stadium has gone all bougie on us and has some delish af eats. It’s a condensed menu from the real Torchy’s but the flavors (and the salsas) remain the same! The Torchy’s Party Deck (opposite corner of Home Plate — near section 255)  is also a super fun place to hang!!
3. Shake Shack. If you’re a cult member riding that flat burger train, you can now get your Shake Shack fix in River Oaks, Rice Village and behind center field.
4. $1 Hot Dogs.  I’m not a hotdog person, and I don’t understand why anyone would need to eat 4 of them (that’s the limit per person), but if you’re looking for a more traditional ballpark food to nosh on, then head over to a game on a Tuesday night for dollar dogs.
5. Jim Bean Bourbon. When you need to take the edge off and beer just isn’t doing it for you, perhaps a fancy cocktail might? Seriously, this stadium is getting nicer and nicer by the minute!
6. Karbach. Albeit part of the Anheuser-Busch franchise, Karbach offers some darn good beer to the Houston public and pairs oh so nicely with rooftop open game. The bar (section 404) also has an amazing view of downtown! PS they gave us these sweet jerseys!
7. 7th Inning Stretch. WE HAVE THE BEST SING-A-LONG SONGS ON THE PLANET IN TEXAS. No matter what the score, you must stay until the seventh inning and belt your way through Deep in the Heart of Texas. It’s glorious.
8. Astros Mural. Lawd knows I like a good mural pic (see here, here, here, and here) and this Astros montage in the stadium behind center field is definitely not one to miss!
9. Goya Can Game. I admit it. I’m a child. But I seriously love this game where they hid the baseball in the can and you have to follow it as the cans do rapid flips and spins. They have versions of it across stadiums in America, but for some reason the fact that it’s Goya in Houston just warms my heart.
10. Homerun trains. Watch the train conductor movements above leftfield throughout the game! It’s a real(ish) train with a for real train-conductor who moves it up and down the tracks based on the score. Trust me, it’s so satisfying when you hear the train horn blow!
