Hey Houston health nuts! Let’s talk juices, cleanses, smoothies and more! Here are our five faves and some of yours too!
For cleanses: Nourish Juice Bar
If you’re going for the full-on cleansing experience, you can’t go wrong with Nourish! They were my first (and only) three-day juice cleanse. I documented it, of course. My favorites were the Pink Starburst and the Talent Kicks In!
Nourish is super cool and there are three locations across the city for you to choose from!
For freshly made everything: 713 Juice Bar
This one’s homegrown — if you couldn’t tell by the name! 713 has juice cleanses and some snacks in store, but I love the fact that when you order a smoothie, acai bowl, or yes, even a juice, it’s freshly made right in front if you! Not sure I’ve ever gotten a juice that was squeezed right in front of me!
For organic juices: Texas Juice Girl
Juice Girl is a tried and true Heights staple. They boast of organic, vegan, locally-sourced juices. I love Juice Girl for her love for Texas. Cheers, juice girl!
For smoothies: Bebidas
Great for smoothies, and for enjoying those smoothies on a nice day. Ultimately, you can’t go wrong at Bebidas for toast, smoothies, coffee, and more. La Playa is my fave smoothie, but warning, it’s sweet!
For acai bowls: Earth Craft Juicery
Acai bowls are basically juice, right? But they actually taste like froyo. What a great world we live in when this is considered healthy! And, how gorgeous is this bowl?
For nut milks: Revolucion
Ok, yes, Revolucion has AMAZING juices. Hello, the Black Gold is actual gold. But, on a 1-day juice cleanse I learned of the magic of the vanilla cashew milk. It’s better than a milkshake. Don’t @ me.
