- Run for a Reason and Local Run Club Out Reach: Thursday, July 26 at 6pm at Eureka Heights Brewery (if you run, first beer is on us!) Join the Facebook event here! Vendors in attendance include Fleet Feet, Race Pace, Memorial Hermann PT and Strength.
- West End Running Club Fundraiser: Tuesday, July 24 – at 6pm. West End Running Club is celebrating their anniversary by raising funds for Adaptive Athlete Program Achilles. We are BIG supporters of the AWD program here at HMC.
- Summer Sounds on the plaza of Rothko Chapel: Thursday, July 26, at 7 pm. This free performance by Mariachi Imperial de America is led by Jose Longoria and his sons. The group performs a diverse mix of music inspired by different genres in Latin and mariachi music, including covers of such popular performers as Juan Gabriel, Vicente Fernandez, and others. Complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided by Saint Arnold’s Brewing Company. All natural, organic ice pops by Popfancy will be available for purchase. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome on the Chapel grounds. Info on Rothko’s events here.
- Turnpike Troubadours on the lawn at White Oak Music Hall: Friday, July 27, at 6 pm. Tickets are $30 with an annoying $11 fee, fyi. More here.
- Beer Fest on the lawn at White Oak Music Hall: Saturday, July 28, at 1 pm. Sips from around 20 beer vendors, plus food trucks and fun! Cheers.

- Mike + Doug Starn: Big Bambú at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston: Now through Monday, September 3. This is the Museum’s immersive summer exhibition that visitors can explore. You can find more details here.

The Heights market has been showcasing fine artists to Houston since 2004 — Houston’s longest running monthly outdoor fine arts event! Find up to 55 white canopied tents, set up by the artists, representing many popular art mediums. Paintings, sculpture, jewelry, wood arts, glass, fiber arts, and photography just scratch the surface of the amazing talent that rotates through this mini outdoor festival each month. PLUS, music all day by original singer/songwriters, popular food trucks and beer, cider and wine to sample or buy. More deets here!
- #GirlsNightOut: Thursday, July 12, from 6-9 pm. Instagram meets happy hour! Network and connect with over 100 other boss babes, working professionals and creatives. A portion of the ticket revenue goes to a nonprofit working to advance and help young women. More deets and tickets here!

- The Market at Sawyer Yards: Saturday, July 14, from 6 to 10 pm, at Sawyer Yards. Surrounded by the highest concentration of working artists in all of Texas, the market coincides with 2nd Saturday Open Studios, when artists from The Silos at Sawyer Yards, Winter, Spring, Summer and Silver Street Studios, open their studios to the public. - Down, Set, Paint: Sunday, July 15, from 2 to 5 pm, at the Houston Methodist Training Center. Join these Texans-loving ladies for an afternoon of painting and sportswomenship. - MFAH Mixed Media Presented by BBVA Compass: Friday, July 20, from 8 pm to midnight at MFAH’s Glassell School of Art. The late-night party with performances by nine artists on four stages, including Dâm-Funk, Wild Child, Hailey Knox, and more. Tickets are currently available online.
- Spin and Flow at CycleBar Sawyer Heights: Saturday, July 21, at noon. Indoor cycle followed by outdoor yoga with a portion of the $25 ticket proceeds going to Pup Squad. Namaspin.
- Summer Splash Pad Pawty: Saturday, July 21, 10 am to noon at the Meadowlake Pet Resort and Training Center. Bring your dog and your beach towel for some wet fun in the sun! More here.
