Happy National Beer Day! If that doesn’t call for a cheersing of local beer, I don’t know what does. Oh yeah, surviving another day of COVID-19-caused isolation.
Have no fear, Houston beer is here! These spots have drive-thru or to-go beer available for you to celebrate today!
This Heights brewery has set up a drive-thru outside its brewery. They are open Monday through Friday from 1 to 7 pm, and noon to 7 pm on the weekends. They are even hosting some of their events — like a dad joke contest! — on their Facebook!
They have some new releases – cannot recommend the Double Fault enough. Holy crap. It’s basically their Buckle Bunny (easiest drinking beer in Houston — fight me) with a twist of grapefruit!
Saint Arnold Brewing Co.
Beer and FOOD is available at Houston’s OG craft brewery. They even have a Super Saint Easter Dinner pack available that feeds 4 to 6 for $75. Order food and beer for pickup from 11 am to 8 pm daily — and you can print out coloring pages for the little ones!
8th Wonder Brewery
Order your reserves ONLINE at shop.8thwonder.com and then pick ’em up at the brewery. They are VERY good about posting on Instagram page, so check out the latest from them there — including their daily hours, which change.
True Anomaly Brewing
This newish EaDo brewer doesn’t have much info online, but they do have an ordering page on their website, and they list their hours as 2 to 8 pm! They just released their Sabro Park pale ale that has creamy coconut flavors — YUM!
Sigma Brewing Co.
This brewery claims to be bad at social media, but their Instagram is pretty informative right now — open 1 to 8 pm daily and they even have an at-home brewer recipe!
Walking Stick Brewing
This one is pretty new and just north of 610 — check their Instagram for their hours and specials. I’m a fan of their Sunlight Saison!
Also in the Northern Greater Heights area, Astral is canless, so pick up growlers with daily specials by emailing email@example.com before 3 p, for $1 off! (You can call 713-534-1067 after 3 to order ahead or just order at the brewery.
Buffalo Bayou Brewing Co.
Get your food and beer to go from Buff Brew’s new (well, now closed) brewery. This was actually my VERY LAST place I went before the shutdown. So sad, but had an amazing pretzel and Dreamsicle beer that I’m sure travels well… open daily from 2 to 10 pm.
According to their Instagram, Platypus is open as a drive thru — get your food and your growlers or cans of beer. Stay up to date with their offerings on their Instagram.
Under the Radar Brewery
Open for to-go orders daily from noon to 7 pm — and you can mix and match a 6 pack to basically get an at-home tasting! Head over to their Midtown brewery to pick it up — check their Instagram for the latest.

These spots have sold beer to go before, but due to various issues, aren’t doing it at the moment.
