I think you’d be pretty hard pressed to find a girl that doesn’t love flowers. I’m certainly not an exception to that rule. They bring a lot of beauty to a room in a pretty natural manner. Whenever my travel schedule frees up and I know I’m working remote for the week, I swing by my local grocery store and pick up a flower bunch while I’m grabbing groceries. Yes, I’m a strong independent woman who buys myself flowers. I’m a particularly huge fan of HEB’s selection of blooms. Whenever I’m having a party or spending more than two nights in a row in Houston, I grab a few bunches from the $4 section and make a DIY bouquet to brighten up my kitchen and home office. HEB Blooms have a five day freshness guarantee, so even on weeks where I’m headed to the airport at 5 am on Monday morning, when I return home Thursday night the bouquets are typically still fresh and last throughout the following weekend as well!

Over this past weekend, I tried something different and got a bouquet from Blooms Design Studio! Blooms Design Studio is a flower delivery service that’s exclusive to Houston. They do all sorts of bouquets and arrangements for weddings, events, and of course Valentine’s Day. I received the “Surprise” arrangement on my doorstep. The flowers were arranged in a white ceramic vase and carefully packaged into a box with tissue paper and wrappings. The arrangement has big aspidistra leaves with white oriental lilies, red and peach roses and hydrangea. It truly was an adorable surprise at my front door! Find the same one I received here!
Obviously, flowers are a great gift for Valentine’s Day, but the Blooms Design Studio options (and ease of delivery!) offer plenty of variety for all sorts of events and occasions–like hostess gifts, thank you note, Galentine’s Day get together, or simple surprise for your bestie! Plus, if you order by 11am, the flowers can get delivered that same day–perfect for last minute shoppers in the Houston area. (I’ll definitely keeping this in mind for my mom’s birthday!)
HEB also offers loads of ideas for Valentine’s Day on their website and in stores. If you order online, you can get 20% off your Valentine’s Day floral order with the code KISSES20. Complete the gift with a card from the Hallmark Signature Line and you’re good to go!
I had no idea that HEB offered designer floral services. Good to know. And convenient when picking up milk!
Knowing a local florist would undoubtedly be advantageous, since you may be able to negotiate a discount. When my spouse sends me exceptional flowers, I am always grateful, although it is a rare occurrence. This is the finest approach to engage with people throughout the pandemic. Thank you so much for writing this piece. It was quite beneficial.
