Houston comes alive in the fall — the dip in temperature (even if small and short lived) plus the increase in social activity (sports, foodie fests, and more). It can be a lot to navigate, but I volunteer as tribute to tell ya all about the things you cannot miss!
PS. My biggest rec for ALL of these events is to avoid parking at them. And the best way to do that is to take an Alto — think elevated rideshare with water, phone chargers, and AC controls at your fingertips. New riders get $30 off their first two rides by clicking here and using the code, “ITSNOTHOU30.”

Costumes are encouraged, and guests will have plenty of favorites to experience, including visiting Carved Pumpkins, Pumpkin Tree, and animal-themed Peek-a-Boo Pumpkins. Don’t miss the Pumpkin Lantern Tunnel between the lions and tiger exhibits, the spooktacular Scary-Go-Round, photo ops all over the Zoo, daily fall-themed enrichment for our animals, and more!
