A Houstonian’s Guide To: Santa Barbara in 24 Hours

Santa Barbara, as all the Californians know, is home to Santa Claus during his off season, and Santa always deserves the best. SB IZ BOOTIFUL. The sun isn’t too hot, the water isn’t too cold and the palm trees are constantly waiving at you. It’s a pretty sleepy beach town, but gosh is is amazing. Rent a villa and cozy up on the beach. If you want some activities, I have options for that too…

Breakfast at Joe’s Cafe and a walk down old town

Joe’s is cute! Typical diner good (if not a little overpriced). Anything you get, get with the pre-buttered bread.

Pro tip: You can buy their adorable mugs.

Shopping at Blue Door

This tiny little shop is one part antiques and one part eclectic. I found a diamondish tennis bracelet for $6 and a stone necklace for $30, soooooo shop according.

Day trip to Beckman Farms

Beckman is a quick 30 minutes away from SB, but it’s worth it. $20 for 6 samples, and it’s GOOD. (My mom joined their club, LOLz.)

Dinner on the pier

The Santa Barbara Shellfish Company is literally a shack at the end of the pier, but it’s pretty good. get the fish tacos! (And, sit outside). JUST DON’T, WHATEVER YOU DO: Don’t feed the birds!

Drinks in the Funk Zone

Cali has strong beer game. I accidentally found this Figueroa Mountains Brewery, and, even on a weeknight it was popping. You can do a $8 beer flight. There’s no losers.
