You heard it here first! A new set of murals has hit the streets of Downtown Houston. This series is the collaboration between Brookfield Properties and Pandr Design Co. and is brightening up our fabulous city and glowing with Houston love!

About the Pandr Murals in Downtown Houston

Commissioned by Brookfield Properties, the seven Pandr murals were painted over the course of two weeks in May. There are two sets–one in cooler colors (purple, turqouise) and one in warmer (yellow, green, red). The Downtown Houston murals alternate between boasting Houston/Texas pride and being inspirational. I expect lots of graduation pictures to be taken with the “Dream Big” mural.

Pandr is a design firm rocked by two women dedicated to drumming up business at local places by attracting people with their bold, bright murals. Obviously, their claim worked. Because in addition to catching my eye, the hashtag #madeinhou is already blowing up on Instagram. Catch me eating at the Shops even more than I already do…

Where to Find the Houston Pandr Murals

You can find the murals on the north side of The Shops at Houston Center on McKinney between Caroline and San Jacinto. If you’re new to Downtown Houston, you can grab street parking most days for a few dollars during the day, or it’s free after 6pm and all day on Sunday. There is also free parking for customers of Phoenicia in the Phoenicia garage across the street. If you’re asking me, murals sound like the perfect excuse to grab happy hour or brunch at the MKT Bar.

Below are pictures of some of the murals I found. After a quick jaunt through Pandr Design Co.’s Instagram, I realized I’ve missed the two “Cheers Houston” ones, which is in the tunnels at Allen Center’s food court. With our #ItsNotHouzie contest going on this June, you know I’ll be back.
