Your Bachelor Fantasy Suiteball League is Here

bachelor-fantasy-suiteball

Football season is over and you’re either a. looking to fill a major gap in your life created by the conclusion of your fantasy football league, or b. SO JEALOUS of your friend who WON their fantasy football league and almost wish that you cared a flying flip about football so you could play in and win your own fantasy football league.

Have no fear, for we have an answer for you: Fantasy Suiteball.

That’s right guys, The Bachelor season 20 starts on Monday, Jan. 4 with Ben Higgins ready to steal the hearts of 28 girls slash all of America, and we are going to raise the stakes.

Below I have tediously developed two Fantasy Suiteball league types. Ultimately, this is YOUR league; so if you want to eliminate some rules, go for it. You want to add some point metrics, have at it.

Have a blast and a half (we will too!) and let your competitive juices (and the wine) start a-flowing. Remember: Keep us posted on what YOUR league is doing in the comment section!12229265_1482154112092445_1786344488_n

For the less committed math haters: Fantasy Suiteball League, winner takes all

  1. Form a group and draw numbers. #1 picks first, etc.
  2. You and your friends dole out the contestants. The smaller the group, the more contestants each person has.
  3. Who ever has the contestant that ends up with Ben, wins all (money, wine or whatever).

For the diehards: Fantasy Suiteball League, week-to-week

Bonus: Here are helpful, downloadable sheets to keep score each week and overall! PLUS! Here’s a doc with all the girls pictures and here’s a doc with their “stats” from The Bachelor Bracket.

  1. Form a group and draw numbers. #1 picks first, etc.
  2. You and your friends dole out the contestants. The smaller the group, the more contestants each person has.
  3. Each member on your fantasy suite team earns and loses points each week see below for options.
  4. The two people with the lowest scores each week have to bring the wine for the next week (or some sort of punishment). The person with the highest points, drinks from the fantasy suite chalice (or some sort of prize). (Note: your total points each week is made up of all of your contestants on your team).
  5. Winner has the most cumulative points at the very end. (Note: If you have the winning girl on your team, you get a boatload of points, but you might not actually win all).

Got a big group? Consider teams or allowing contestants to be on multiple people’s rosters. My league has about 13 people, so we are allowing each of Ben’s girls to be drafted twice.

Point system

Standard points:

+5 points if your contestant goes on a 1-on-1 date
+4 points if your contestant goes on a 2-on-1 date
+4 points if your contestant gets a rose before the rose ceremony
+3 points if your contestant goes on a group date
+3 points if your contestant gets a rose at the rose ceremony
+2 point if Ben says he sees a connection with your contestant
+2 points if your contestant gets a kiss from Ben
+1 point each time your contestant gets alone time with Ben (outside a date)
-1 point if Ben says he has concerns/is worried about/etc. re: your contestant
-2 point if your contestant cries
-3 points if your contestant doesn’t go on any date
-4 points if your contestant doesn’t get a rose at the rose ceremony

Rules

12073486_1159159504099590_752937213_nPro tip: print out these rules and post them so people can keep track easily during the watch party

  • No trading. Once you draft, your team is locked in.
  • Draft day should be before the first episode (draft; then watch). Pro tip: Print out a list of the contestants (photos included).
  • Decide if there is an entry fee (which would become the prize money)
  • No spoilers before drafting (you may consult instagram and E!/People, but nothing that has information on who makes it the farthest/goes home/etc.)
  • If someone can’t make it to draft day, your group can either: a. give absent participant(s) the leftover contestants, b. allow the absent participant(s) to phone in or virtually pick, or c. refuse absent participant(s) the right to participate.
  • If your group drafts and there are contestants left, you may either a. allow some participants to have more contestants than others, or b. no one gets the remaining contestants or their points.
  • If all of your team is eliminated, you are out and aren’t just automatically the loser each week. You may also buddy up with a friend, if that friend is willing.
  • No cheating (obviously). There’s no real way to check some your points, so honesty is key, guys.
  • All points should be locked in at a certain point to declare the week’s winner. Since some people have to watch at different times, make sure the day and time is locked down and decided before the season within your group. I.e. you must watch the show and count/report your points by Tuesday at 7 p.m. Then a winner is decided. If a participant cannot watch by the determined day and time, they may either: a. ask a friend to watch and count their points (you may establish a point penalty for this), b. allow the participant to opt out of the week (this will effect their final score, as the week’s points will not be counted), or c. grant an extension.
  • You should establish a rule master, or allow voting among the participants.
  • If a participant wishes to leave the Fantasy Suiteball group, you may decide to a. redistribute the contestants (just like draft day, everyone draws numbers and people pick them until they are gone), b. no one gets the contestants or their points, or c. the participate can find a replacement to takeover her team.
