One of my favorite Austin-made things is Whole Foods. My second favorite might be Whole Lotta Yoga. The event, which started in Austin, is headed to Houston for the first time on October 7th. Whole Lotta Yoga offers six different, 30-minute classes, plus smaller group workshops, acro yoga, and dance. The yoga fest shows off local brands, including studios, apparel, food, drinks, and unique yoga-inspired products.
Basically, if your perfect Saturday is yoga then a bite from Whole Foods, we should be friends and you should make it to this event.
This is a free thing, but they do simply encourage donations to the Whole Planet Foundation. Different sized donations get you some perks. A $20 donation gets you in plus a Whole Lotta Yoga Class Card which gives you a complimentary class at all 5 participating studios. Class card expires March 7. $30 gets you that, plus a tank. $50 gets you the card, the tank and a raffle entry.
Participating yoga studios are:
- Big Power Yoga
- Montrose Yoga Co-Op
- YogaOne Studios
- Joy Yoga
- Revolution Studios
- Black Swan Yoga
- Dance House Fitness
Check out the photos and video below and hope to see you at Levy Park from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 7!
